Camp Hobe' offers psychosocial support programs for kids being treated for cancer (& similarly-treated disorders) and their families, through summer camps and family outing. Our mission is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, fosters independence and friendships, and offers a sense of belonging. Participants have the freedom at our programs to “just be kids” for a time and to stretch their limits physically, mentally, and socially; as well as to meet others facing similar experiences.

We were founded in 1985, offering a single camp session for 15 kids. Since then, we've grown to almost 300 campers each year. We currently offer 3 camp sessions, including a 5-day overnight for 7-11 year-olds (Kids Week), a 5-day overnight for 12-19 year-olds (Teen Week), and a 2-day program for 4-6+ year-olds (Day Camp/Hobe' Juniors). During the COVID-19 pandemic, we began offering virtual camp sessions, which will allow us to better serve hospitalized campers and those who live farther away.

We also offer 2-4 free family outings throughout the year. These events vary from sporting events to movie premieres or carnivals. Our family outings serve an additional 250-300 people each year.
