Announcing a New COCA Program Manager
Please Welcome Callie Campbell

Callie is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and has worked in pediatric oncology camping for 8 years at Happiness Is Camping, a COCA Gold Ribbon and ACA Accredited camp.
She began her programming experience in 2020 as the (virtual) Program Director of HIC, creating adaptive versions of camp activities for their four-week Zoom summer camp. She continued her role of Program Director in 2021 and 2022, heavily focused on fostering an environment of togetherness, inclusion, and respite from the hospital setting, while maintaining Gold Ribbon Best Practices. In the summer off season she worked as the camp’s Special Events Coordinator, facilitating events such as their New York City fundraising galas, Sporting Clay Shoots, and Virtual Fun-Raiser.
One of her greatest passions is harnessing her creativity into her work, which she has done through the creation of brochures, camp yearbooks, apparel designs, formal invitations, social media content and other similar promotional materials. She is thrilled to be COCA’s new Program Manager and continue the work of her brother, Ryan Campbell, who is the current President Elect. She will be working as part of both the Gold Ribbon Committee and COCAcon Committee, and will contribute to town halls, providing updates and educational content. |
