Camp Kindle is owned and operated by Kids Cancer Care and is located one hour from the city of Calgary in the Alberta foothills. Camp Kindle operates year-round providing a variety of camps and programs to Alberta children and families affected by cancer.

All of our core cancer camps and community programs are provided free of charge to families affected by cancer.

When not serving our cancer populations Camp Kindle serves other chronic medical groups, outdoor education for elementary schools, outdoor leadership for Junior and senior high schools, music groups and corporate team building.

Tween Camp – Feb. 20th – 22nd. For Children with Cancer and siblings aged 10 – 12 years.

Teen Camp – March 13th – 15th. For teens with cancer and siblings aged 13 – 17.

Alumni Retreat – April 10th – 12th. For KCC alumni aged 18 – 25.

Alberta Young Adult Network Retreat – April 17th – 19th. Planning retreat for the Alberta Network.

Bereaved Family Camp – May 8th – 10th.

Newly Diagnosed Family Camp – June 5th – 7th.

Volunteer Training Retreat – June 19th – 21st.

SunHaven Residential Camp. For children aged 7 to 17 who have a parent diagnosed with cancer.
Session 1 June 29th – July 3rd .
Session 2 Aug. 17th – 21st.

SunRise Day Camps for children aged 3 – 7 who have been diagnosed with cancer and siblings.
Session 1 July 13th – 17th in Calgary.
Session 2 July 20th – 24th in Calgary.
Session 3 July 27th – 31st in Edmonton.

SunMaker Residential camp for children aged 7 to 17 who have been affected by cancer and siblings.
Session 1 July 13th – 17th.
Session 2 July 20th – 24th.
Session 3 August 10th – 14th. Includes hemophiliac campers.

SunSeeker Outdoor Leadership Program for teens diagnosed with cancer, teen survivors and siblings aged 14 – 17. Level 1 is also open to campers on active treatment and hemophiliac campers.
Introduction level 1 August 10th – 14th.
Advanced level 2 July 13th – 24th.

Counsellor-In-Training for campers aged 17 who have previously participated in SunSeeker Outdoor Leadership and/or the year-round Kids Cancer Care Leadership program. These campers are preparing for the opportunity to work at Camp Kindle.

Leadership Retreat September 18th – 20th.

Fall Family Camp Oct. 2nd – 4th.

Fall Teen Camp Nov. 20th – 22nd.
