Fresh air, new friends, and lots of camping fun is in store for children who take part in the Camp Catch-A-Rainbow programs!

YMCA Storer Camps offers Camp Catch-A-Rainbow (CCAR), free of charge, to enrich the lives of children between four and fifteen years old who are being treated for cancer or who are in remission from cancer.

Camp Catch-A-Rainbow provides the opportunity for children to simply have a good time and enjoy the experience of exercise, recreation, and companionship through activities paced to meet the needs of kids with cancer. Campers enjoy swimming, archery, horseback riding, high adventure ropes courses, arts and crafts, canoeing, and much more.

Among our typical camp activities, our Teen campers enjoy some special times just for them. 5 year campers can expect a special evening at camp too as they become "Thunderbirds"! Wednesday at camp is wacky and we have a rockin' dance in the evening! Bring your best to our talent show too!

Volunteers (especially MALES) are needed each summer to act as cabin counselors. Some cabin counselor volunteers may serve in a one-on-one role to a camper who may need extra special help and one to one attention. We also need some volunteers to help with Arts and Crafts.
